Trunk Show

Hello Everyone,

I have kind of been off the grid for  a few days.  Part of the reason being, I was working around the clock to finish my Queen Size Feathered Star quilting!  Guess what it is DONE!  So stay tuned for photos of that.

But I also traveled to Attleboro, MA to the Linsey Woolsey Quilt Guild. What a great group of ladies!  I return there in 2 weeks to do a workshop for them too.  Looking forward to that.

Here are a few photos from that night.

This is the Cactus Flower Table Runner, done in 3 ways!  This is also the workshop that I will be doing for this guild.

This was the crowd settling in...

One of my published designs... Fresh Palette.

Flowers for My Wedding Ring.

And the Bali Bed Runner.

This group was so welcoming and very much fun!!  Remember, if you ever would like a trunk show or workshop, just drop me an e-mail and we can talk about scheduling something.

Until Next Time...

In Arizona...

Hello Everyone,

This week I am in Arizona!  I am visiting with my son and I am also teaching while I am here.  Yesterday, I did a trunk show at A Quilter's Oasis in Mesa and will be teaching there on Tuesday.

I thought I would give you a little sneak peek of the trunk show....

Here I am with my quilts piled up and laid out.

Here are the ladies... We were just waiting for a few more.

Here is my Indian Summer Quilt.  This is a great beginner paper pieced quilt.  You can find the pattern and quilt kit here...

This is the Seasonal Table Runner, which should really be quilted on my table.  I will get to it, maybe over the holiday when I am home??  The pattern can be found here....

This is my Queen Size Feathered Star.  Probably one of my all time favorite quilts.  I love the boldness of the colors against the black.  You can find the pattern here and the kit here.

Here I am chatting it up with some of the quilters.  They were fantastic and I can't wait to teach there on Tuesday!

If you are in Arizona and haven't been to A Quilter's Oasis in Mesa, you must go!

Who Knew...

Hello Everyone,

That Eastern Long Island had nearly 50 wineries?? And a fantastic quilt guild??

On Friday and Saturday I spent the evening and the day with an unbelievable quilt guild.  This guild is the Eastern Long Island Quilter's Guild.  This group was inviting, talented, and funny!!  I really enjoyed my time here.

The night of the lecture I took a few photos...

This is their raffle quilt this year.  Gorgeous isn't it??

Usually when I go to a guild, I am the one bring the show and tell.  But this lovely lady took my Seasonal Table Runner class at MQX and she brought in her finished top to show me!! Gorgeous!

Getting ready to do my lecture and trunk show.

The next day I taught the Cactus Flower Table Runner Workshop, but another show and tell from a student...

She brought in a Judy Niemeyer Christmas Celebration Tree Skirt that she had done in a class with Judy!  Love the finish!!

Now onto some of my students work for the day...

Three center units done...

Two done...

Evening Star Trunk Show

Hello Everyone,

Last night I had the pleasure of speaking at a fabulous guild in Mineola, NY, the Evening Star Quilt Guild.  Much to my delight I saw a few familiar faces there and was pleased as punch!! My friend Helen was there and didn't even know I was going to be there speaking.  She was joining the guild that night!! You can visit the talented Helen here.  And Jessica also came... and it was wonderful to see her beautiful little baby for the first time!  You can visit Jessica here.  I also met Teresa, an FB friend for the first time face to face and she was just as delighted as I imagined.

Anyway, Helen was kind enough to take some photos for me.  Thank you, Helen! So this is a little sampling of the quilts that I brought along with me.  My talk was about "Quilting the Quilt:  A Longarmer's Perspective".

Trunk Show

Hello Everyone,

It seems like it has been FOREVER since I composed a REAL blog post.  I guess that is one of the things that gets put aside when you are away on vacation and then return.  Once I returned, I had a TON of work to get caught up on and the first thing on the agenda was a trunk show and lecture at the Artful Hands Quilt Guild.

I returned early in the morning on Tuesday and then later that day headed to Massachusetts to present to this wonderful guild.  No time for resting after vacation... LOL!

I would like to share a few photos from that night.

This quilt is Raindrops.

This is A Touch of Spring.

This is Golden Harvest.

All these patterns are paper pieced and Judy Niemeyer patterns. They can all be found in my shop by clicking here.

The above photos are just a small sampling of my trunk show you can see more by clicking here.

One of my favorite parts of going to a guild is the show and tell!  Here are a few quilts that the members shared.

Love the design and the lime green.

Does this one look familiar??? It is the FREE Blogger's BOM!! You can still make this one just look on the right side bar and ALL the links are there for each block!

This was gorgeous and had some Kaffe fabric too!

All in all it was a wonderful night.  This was the second time that this guild had me there and I totally enjoyed being there again.  Thank you for having me.

I will be heading back there next weekend to teach the members a workshop!  Can't wait!!

If you want to see more photos of the trunk show, just click here.

Until Next Time...
