Seed Packet Stitcheries

Hello Everyone,

Just a quick post to show you some of what I have been up to. I have been working very hard on my mystery quilt and actually have 18 blocks made!! I will be posting pictures of them in a couple of days. So be sure to check back.

But while I have been watching the Red Sox I have been stitching. Maybe you will remember these stitchery seed packet patterns. I finished 2 more! The bottom 2 are newest ones that I have completed. I really love them, I think they are really pretty.

I am looking forward to putting them in a quilt, but alas I have 7 more to complete! So it may be a longer process than originally thought.

In other news, check out the new photos of customer quilts, especially Sara's memory quilt. This is such a beautiful quilt!

Have a terrific weekend! Happy Quilting!

I've Been Busy...

Hi Everyone,

It has been a little while and I have been busy. Mostly busy working on customer quilts, which you can see the newest ones loaded on my website under recent additions. But, I have also been doing things for myself. I first found myself in a rut and wanting to sew but not doing anything about it.

So I decided that I really wanted to watch my Red Sox play, which is a nightly occurrence anyway. But, I thought that I would do some stitcheries. I have been working on my seed packet stitcheries and really enjoying the outcome. The picture is not the best but, I think it will give
you a good idea. This is the latest one completed.

I have also been working on Lynette's Anderson's free Noah's Ark BOM. I haven't taken a picture of it yet as I am still working on the cows. So I am a little behind, since this month's block is already out and they are the cutest kangaroos. EDIT: Lynette is doing a giveaway on her blog for a new pattern. Check it out and enter!! Hurry she is drawing on Monday!

In my last post I showed you my colorful wedges but I didn't show you what came before them. I had some strips left over from a project a few years ago and created this circle with my wedge ruler as my "prototype". It is all Kaffe fabrics and I love it! But I only have one. I will just have to find fabrics to make another to match!

Oh, I almost forgot...I completed the body of my M.E. quilt. Now I just have to put the borders on. That always seems to take the longest for me to do. By the way, this quilt took one jelly roll and the pattern is by Miss Rosie's Quilt Company and is called Storyteller.

I have a couple of other projects in the works and I will post about them over the weekend. You'll want to check back because, you will see some naughty cat antics and a giveaway!!!!

Until then...Happy Quilting!!

Jackie

Fun Stuff!!

Business first...

******THERE IS STILL ONE OPENING LEFT IN THE PAY IT FORWARD*****

So what are you waiting for, go on I know you would like to try it. Sign up, I would love to have you join in on the fun!

Okay, I am now off of my soapbox. As many of you may have seen on the various blogs, I too have joined the FREE BOM stitchery by Lynette. It was my 1st time doing hand stitchery since I was a teen. Yes, I was crazy and hand embroidered everything in site. Mostly, I did my jeans!! I bet some of you also remember doing this too! It was a lot of fun and I can't wait until April for the next one. Here is my finished project.

I have not yet bordered it with fabric because I am waiting to see what the other blocks will be like. Take a look at her fabulous blog and download the pattern, it is called Noah's Ark.

I also received these little doo-dads in the mail from Jess.

She was doing some cleaning and wanted to get rid of them. I love them and was thinking that they might make a nice embellishment on a bag or purse. Do you have any other thoughts or uses for them?? Let me know I would love some input!

I finished the Mambo top, now to get it on my Gammill. I will post a picture of it next week.

Happy Weekend, Happy Quilting,

Jackie
