Day 5... Ch, Ch, Ch, Changes

Hello Everyone,

We have all been working and playing hard!  Wait until you see the transformations of the Mariner's Compass quilts that we completed yesterday!!

This is a truly talented group of ladies and we are having soooo much fun!  So let's take the tour, but remember to click here to compare them to Wednesday's photos to see the progress made.

I had to put Ginny's quilt first!  I am in LOOOOOOVE with it and if she is not careful our bags might just get switched on the flight... ;)

This is mine and I must say I really love it!  I switched a fabric from green to orange and love it soooo much more.

Lisa is making great strides and I love the color combo.

Cathie is definitely making progress you might not see it here, but trust me she has it all at her sewing machine.  I should know she sits right across from me.

What can I say, Andrea's "50 Shades" is just stunning and elegant all wrapped up in one!

Out of all the quilts, Tammy's is the one that you will see the BIGGEST change.  She really disliked the previous version and as you can see she is one happy camper!

Sue is doing a fabulous job and the color seems to match her clothing... hmmmmmm....

Jodie's also made some color changes and definitely for the better!  I LOVE this version.

Cat is another one who seems to be channeling the color of her quilt into her own clothes.  I have a feeling BIG changes are coming with this quilt in tomorrow's post.

Linda has really done some hustling... she has many more components done and just wait to you see her completed color combo... I am just saying...

Judy showed us the newly revised Pepper Dish pattern!  Just gorgeous!

Be on the lookout for this pattern in the shop, really soon!  I love this version of the Feathered Star, don't you?

Just before I finished for the night, these two friends have great big smiles for you!  Quilting is truly bonding time with your friends.

Stay tuned for more...

Until Next Time...

WOWZER...I'm wondering what the rest of the t-shirt says that starts out "Oh Crap." :o) I keep imagining the 50 shades version photographed in snow and ice.

Wow, these quilts are huge. Having the creator stand next to their work really puts the size into perspective. You have all accomplished so much in just a few days.

Ok, I'm so jealous that I have to wait another month until I get my chance to be there. Love the progress you guys have made. Can't wait to see how mine is going to look with the colors I have chosen. Say Hi to Ginny, Cat, Carrie, and of course Judy for me. It's been so much fun being there virtually with your post.

Always stitchin',

My eyes are just about popping out of my head, they're all so amazing. It looks like paper piecing on steroids compared to what I used to do. What fun you must have all been having.

All those gals are doing wonderfully on their quilts! They are all so beautiful! I am wondering where I can get the pattern for what they are making. I am always interested in getting new patterns and trying new things. I am in the process of making a doulbe wedding ring big quilt out of scraps. It's a slow process!

Hi Anonymous, I don't have any other way of getting in touch with you as you don't have your comment attached to an e-mail... so I hope you read this. This pattern is Mariner's Compass and will not be available until January 2013. It will only be available through Certified Teachers and Certified shops of Judy Niemeyer's. I am one of her teachers. We are learning to make it here on this retreat.
