Some of My Favorites At The Show

Hello Everyone,

Today I had a great day!  I spent the morning and afternoon walking the exhibit of MQX in Portland.  The quilts were absolutely fantastic!  It was very difficult to say that I had a favorite.  Every time that I turned around there was one more spectacular than the other.

I thought I would just show you a few of my favorites... Let's take the tour...

This was a Sue Spargo design and is done in a ton of wool.

OMG... this was gorgeous, my colors and all!

Look at the close up!

This beauty by Belinda Betts, is titled Sparkling Shells.  This is the one that I awarded my faculty ribbon!! See the Tumbling Blocks too!

Love this spider web quilt!

And OH MY... you know how I love pink and this Dahlia quilt is gorgeous on the Zig Zag background.  It was all done, completely computerized quilting too.

This was Best of Show!  And my, oh my was it gorgeous!!  All silk and unbelievably quilted.

Here is a close up.

This one took my breath away with the quilting.  Very modern looking, brightly colored and unique.

A Judy Niemeyer pattern... Feathered Star, beautifully done!

This one was done to look like gears from a clock.  I really like this one.

This one won multiple ribbons for embroidery at its best.

A fabulous Glacier Star!! The colors are right up my alley and there was bling on it too!!  It was exquisitely quilted and also a ribbon winner.

Close up of the quilting.

See the bling!  Just the right amount!

There was my little sneak peek!  I will have more for you too!  So hang on!!

Until Next Time...

I am always so inspired by the quilts you show. I was wondering if there is a pattern for the quilt that looks like gears? That is so cool.
