Ready, Set, New Project

Hello Everyone,

I suppose I was inspired by all the 1930s quilts that I saw at the antique shop on Nantucket this weekend.  Because my newest project is featuring 1930s fabrics.

Yes, believe it or not, I do love not only Kaffe, batiks, black and whites, but also 1930s.  I have quite the stash of them too.  It just seems that lately I haven't been working with them.  So it was time to do so....

I selected a variety of blue, green, yellow, red, purple, and orange prints.  What you can't see is that there are a variety of different prints under each color.

I started with two of the blues...

Then went to the greens...

Then the yellows...

And ended with reds for the day.  I see more geese on the horizon for tomorrow!

Do you like 1930s prints?  How do you use them in projects?

If you like 1930s I still have some on Clearance in the online shop!  Just click here to see.

Until Next Time...

Pretty! I do love 30s prints and I'm not only have Mom's reproduction 30s stash but I also have a small stash of the originals. Project in progress that I need to get back too. Love flying geese.

1930's prints have never been a favorite of mine but I do have a few hanging around - they tend to be cut up into small pieces and used in scrap quilts or applique.

There is something so appealing about '30s fabrics - they are so fresh looking!
I can't wait to see what your flying geese are going to become!

I still like the 30s repros. I need to make one more large quilt with them. Maybe it will be a 16 patch, lol!

Didn't care much for 30's fabrics until I started to work with them. They look so happy in my fan quilt-in-progress that I now think of them as antidepressants.
