Applique Block Done and Gifted!

Hello Everyone,

I finished the hat lady appliqué block!!  I did the buttonhole stitch via the sewing machine.  Yup, that is right, the sewing machine.  I think I did a pretty good job too.  Here see for yourself...

I even changed threads to match the fabrics.  Added a button to the hat.

And a button for the earring.  You can see the ribbon I dded for a necklace.

Not too bad for someone who doesn't really like appliqué.

Here she is... I finished it and gifted it to my friend Justine already.  She LOVED it, and that makes me happy.  So glad I stopped procrastinating and got it done!!

Until Next Time...

Love it! The placement of the dahlia appears to give dimension to the crown of the hat. Perfect!

Love it! And like you, I don't like applique, but buttonhole-stitch on the machine works for me!

It isn't a fabric I wouldn't have chosen but I just love love love how that Dahlia works on that hat - it just pops. So beautiful. Well done, I am not surprised your friend loves it, she is a very lucky friend.

Well...she's just beautiful. Now you've inspired (shamed) me into starting one of my applique projects. I've only appliqued one other project, but have two real beauties waiting for me to get busy. Everything you do is so very inspiring! Thanks for sharing with us!
