No Gray Here

Hello Everyone,

On my last post, I had said there was a lot of "unsewing" going on. Well that is still happening! Ugh! But, because that can be tedious and boring, at best, I needed a distraction. Something that could be whipped up pretty quick. So I made 2 more Sweet Treat bags.

I tell you I am addicted to these! I love them and they are just the perfect size to put your notions in and carry around to class.

So this time I did a black and white and orange stripe! My inspiration from this came from the last two photos. But we will get to these.

The Back

The Front

The above bag is now available for sale on my Etsy shop! The next one was a custom order. The original one had sold on my Etsy store. So a new one was custom made for this customer!

Love the pink stripe!

A forgotten Hosta photo from last post.

So here was my inspiration for the first bag. My friend Justine (no blog) came over the other day to pick up her finished quilt and brought over this little bag. Some of you may recognize it from Rachel's Tutorial . It is the Friendship Bag. How cute is Justine's version?

Really Sweet!!

She said it was super easy!

I was also able to update my gallery with the last of the Project Improv quilts. These were some of the last quilts to be quilted for Jacquie. So go check them out. They are just fabulous!!

If you haven't already, go check out my newest Podcast. You can find it here or on iTunes. I would love if you have listened to it, if you would leave a review on iTunes. Any feedback or suggestions would be so helpful. Just send me an e-mail.

Oops, almost forgot, check out Heather's fantastic quilt giveaway... Go Here NOW!

Well off to do some more "unsewing". YUCK!!

Oh, sorry to hear you are unsewing. I spent a chunk of time doing that this week and it is not fun. You can do it though! Just keep plunking and soon you will be done. I love your bags..I have one started in the project closet, LOL. I need to finish that!

unsewing sure doesn't sound like fun! I take it you are undoing a lot that you are still working on it - I have done that a time or myself - once I undid the first 3rd of quilting on a quilt because I decided I didn't like the pattern I was doing!

Lovely bag. I think sometimes it's best to walk away from a project do somethign fun then finish it off. I have a friend who swears her sewing machine just gets fed up so she turns it off has a cuppa and when she goes back it co-operates again. LOL

Love the stitching in the new quilts! Those circles are great. Cute bags, too.

I love that little stip of orange! Perfect for the bag. I've just started collecting white and black fabrics for a quilt, and I'm sure I will have enough left over for a small project. Great job.

So are we bag ladies? Bag-o-holics? Love that splash of orange. I had a bout of unsewing yesterday...3 in a row. I decided I'd had enough for the eve.

Hi Jackie --
Sorry about all your unsewing. I am hoping it is something of your own versus something of a customer's. The former, at least, seems a little more palatable. Like you made this decision for yourself. It will be over. And it will be worth it (when it is done)!!!! Do you know how you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!
I love your bags. I am a bag lady myself. The last one I did was a Christmas flavor and I gave it away. I see it on occasion.
Only 9 more sleeps until school! I will be alone w/ Violet (age 2) for the day. I hope she loves to watch me quilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Haha! I wish I could!)
Stay cool,
MB

Wonderful and cute! That stripe of color really "pops" on the bags.

Keep trudging along on the unsewing. There is an end in sight eventually!

Cute little bags! I hate projects that require lots of unsewing--I feel your pain lol! But those bags are a great way to de-stress :)
