How I Spent My Day Off

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, the hubs and I decided to take some time for ourselves before we hang the quilt show today.

As some of you may know, my hubby is a pilot and loves to fly on the weekends.  It was a nice day and decided to fly from Hartford to Albany for the day.

Here he is my favorite, fearless pilot... ready for the trip.

A great aerial photo of Hartford.

Here I am getting ready to fly home...

Albany is a larger airport, so we had to fly behind the BIG boys....

The Hudson River... Kind of yucky, right?

Yes, we were that close to the clouds.

An aerial view of my classroom studio at Whiting Mills in Winsted, CT.  It is almost dead center slightly down from the top of the photo, you can see several brick buildings.  That is it!

An aerial view of the Collinsville section of Canton!!

Back home again!  I had a great day!  Today will be another great day... I get to hang quilts.

Until Next Time...

Ah so you were local. I'm guessing you visited your RPI student. I'll be seeing you next weekend. Enjoy your work.

I love to go flying but since I don't know any pilots it doesn't happen anymore. My best fun flight was on an ultralight plane. It was amazing.

I had to share your blog today with my husband and son. My son has a pilot license. Love the photos and what a great time with your DH. Enjoy the shows. Enjoyed seeing the Hudson.

Look how official you look Miss Co-Pilot :) And what stunning pictures from the air. My daughter just went skydiving in Moab out of a plane about that size.

Well we had our flight now on with the fantasies :0). What a nice way to spend the day together, I do hope you post pictures of all the quilts for those of us too far away to come to your quilt show! Thanks that was one of the easiest flights I ever took!

Good luck with the show and
Happy Sewing
