Choosing and Piecing Backings

Hello Everyone,

Yesterday, I spent the day choosing and piecing backings for 2 quilts.  Sometimes I find it a challenge and sometimes not... Yesterday, I found one a little more of a challenge than the other, but in the end was successful in choosing what I think are the right backings for the quilt.

Do any of you have this same problem?

Sometimes, I use fabrics that were in the quilt top, but in this case I didn't really have the luxury of time to piece a more unusual back.  So here is what I chose....

Two different Kaffe Fassett fabrics for two different quilts.

This first one is from the Kaffe Fassett Collective and is called Brassica Red.  I LOVE it and it is full of color.  You can find this and other color ways in our shop by clicking here...

This one also belongs to the Kaffe Fassett Collective and is called Summer Tree.  It too comes in different color ways and is probably one of my favorite designs!!  You can find this one by clicking here...

Now stay tuned for the finished quilts!!

Oh... and don't forget to enter my giveaway going on here...

Until Next Time...

You can never go wrong with a big beautiful KFC print on the back!

I love the collection so much that I am wondering if I could use the kaffe Brassica as the outside part of the Glacier Star and then incorportate all the other colors in batiks and prints or would it be too busy and take away from the rest.

Actually, Molly that is exactly the fabric that we used to kit the Glacier Star with for the outside border! So yes you CAN use it!!

Very pretty fabrics you have for the backs. My question is, if you have a light quilt top would your fabrics shadow to the top?
