A Cosmic Laptop Mat...

Hello Everyone,

A few weeks back Mark Cesarik sent me some swatches of his fabric line from Free Spirit called Cosmic Burst.  Today, I pieced them together and really love the results.

Aren't the colors vibrant and the design modern?

Love the postcard with the fabrics all stacked up.

Here is the little piece all together.

Quilted and bound.  I used Kona Cerise for the binding.  Kona Cerise is my hands down favorite Kona solid.  You can find it here.

I backed it with a batik from the shop.  The quilting was just simple lines with a YLI variegated rayon thread.

And look... it is just the perfect size for my laptop to sit on when I am at at the table. How cool is that?

Thank you, Mark for sending me these really cool fabrics of yours!  Love them.

cute little mini quilt
I have a question for you, I am about to quilt a customer's quilt and she bought the pattern or maybe the kit from you "Barefoot in the park" it's hard to see the quilting on it, looks like free form feathers etc. did you do that? can you tell me if it's a pantograph? I don't do pantos, but if I can google it and look at the pattern and get inspired by it, I'll do my own thing. or send me a close up picture of it? the link to click to enlarge the pictures don't work

I can't decide which fabrics I like better, the fun brights on the front or that delicious batik on the back!

I hope I'm at the right place to enter the give-away. I had trouble loading the site in your post marked /here/. I do want to be included!

I do hope you will consider dropping the word id in your comments. It is very difficult for poor eyesight and takes too much time. I dropped mine and my comments increased two-fold after a follower suggested I drop it. I didn't realize Word ID was even on but I clicked it off immediately. Pood for thought.
