Silk Block Complete

Hello Everyone,

Before I talk about the beauty you are going to see, if you are in Mansfield, MA tomorrow (5/24) , I will be doing a lecture at the Artful Hands Quilt Guild. I would love to say hello! Now onto the silk beauty.

First, I must say, I LOVE this block!! Remember the other day when I was playing with the silks and just making the block, not knowing where it was going... Well...

This is what it looks like. Vibrant and bright silks, wonky, tiny little scraps, just making my heart sing. I hope that it makes Julie's heart and lab coat sing!!

The block finished at 6" square. So some of those pieces are really tiny. But soooo worth it, and it is on its way to be part of Julie's lab coat.

I have to say, I had a very hard time putting it in that envelope and sending it off. I did it quick, like when you rip a band aid off. The pain only lasts a second or two... LOL.

Don't forget to enter the giveaway for the gorgeous reversible quilt pattern by Stephanie. Just click here for the details on how to enter. Today is the LAST day to enter!! So hurry!!

Also, don't forget that everything is on sale in my online shop this week! 15% off using the code take15 at checkout. The only thing it doesn't apply to is Kona Cotton Solids... they are already cheap. Just click here to get started.

Have a great day!!

Until Next Time...

What a great idea for a boring white lab coat! And this is the perfect block! The colors are fantastic. I agree with Kathie - a few more of these would make a fun little quilt :)

It's fantastic. I completely understand why it was hard to send off. You need to make an entire quilt of wonky silk goodness.

I about spewed coffee out my nose with your "like a band aid" comment, but I do feel your pain. Wow, I don't think I can imagine that block at 6 inches. My brain is seeing it as maybe 12 inches. It is pretty in the pic and I'm sure it just shimmers in real life. She'll have a Joseph's (lab)Coat of many colors.

Jackie, what a great block! Can't believe it's only 6". It would look good and a medallion quilt all by itself too. I know she'll love it.
