Wiltwyck Quilt Guild

Hello Everyone,

This past Saturday, I had been invited to do a lecture and trunk show at the Wiltwyck Quilt Guild in Kingston, NY. My talk was about how to decide on what quilting designs you will use when your quilt top is complete. Which threads and which battings to choose too.

I had a blast and what a talented group it was. The first few pictures, I would like to share are of their show and tell.

This quilt is an example of their next month's friendship block Sunny Lanes. Great design for scraps, isn't it?

In the above photo, you will see my sister in law Shirley. The quilt she is holding is one that she has made for her church. It will hang there permanently. She picked this pattern because of the crosses that really show up nicely.

This quilter made this beautiful applique scrap quilt. Isn't it just gorgeous?

Now for a little of my trunk show...

I am sharing the above quilt with you because it is of significance to me. This quilt was made as a Christmas gift for my husband back in 2000. It was the first custom quilt that I did on my long arm machine after I purchased it. It has graced our bed since then and recently was replaced by my Ramblin Rose quilt.

Here I am yapping away about the quilting done on my Mambo quilt. On this quilt, I did an edge to edge design, fairly dense in a maze pattern.

This is my crumbs quilt. I had made this as a shop sample when my girlfriend owned her shop. It was a popular seller! Love the bright colors.

Here I am pointing out my Pop Squares quilt, which can be found here.

Colors of Peru Quilt Top

I also brought with me some unfinished quilt tops to talk about how they could possibly be quilted. I talked about several different treatments.

All in all, I had a blast!! Thank you, Wiltwyck Quilters for such a lovely day. I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my day!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway over at Jaybird Quilts. It ends today!!

Until Next Time...
