A Fun Weekend

Hello Everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful long 4th of July weekend!  I did and I like to share some of my highlights, starting with the BIGGEST!!

This Friday, I took delivery of  my brand new ride... WHEEEE... can you hear me squealing??

I ordered a Mini Cooper S Roadster 2 months ago and it finally made it's way across the pond to me!  I am beyond ecstatic.  It is a convertible, something I have always wanted, something fun.  It is a two seater and is red!!  Love the red with the black racing stripes.  And YES it has a spacious trunk, partly because there are only 2 seats.  But I can comfortably fit at least 3 sewing machines, several project bags and an ironing board!

Here is what I did with it yesterday though...

I took it to the grocery store and look at what fits and there is still more room to go!!!

Even though it has been hot out, I have been riding with the top down and the air on.  Not too bad and having a blast!

I feel like a kid again.

We also went to NJ for the day for a get together with my family.

Here I am in the middle with my Aunt on the left and Mom on the right.  It was a great day!  Saw my brothers, their wives, and niece and nephews.  Good food, good times, and great family!

We came home and our two boys were very happy.  They snuggle like this often.

Then to finish off the weekend, I made...

Fajitas with fresh summer veggies.  Gotta love the color in summer veggies!

It was a fun and relaxing weekend for us.  I sure hope you all had a wonderful time too.  What did you do, I would love to hear all about it?

Until Next Time...

I am in love with your little Cooper! We purchased a red and black VW Cabriolet convertible in 1982 but had to sell it when the baby came along, all those years ago. Would love to have it now! Enjoy your ride!

That car is so cute, you're going to have so much fun driving it. I know it seems wrong, but if you run the AC on your feet, it helps a bit on the hot days, although you'll love spring and fall best :)

Hi Jackie. Love your Mini!! I have a Mini Countryman! I'm going to Minis on the Mack in a few weeks. It's the largest gathering of Minis in the world, hoping to break the Guiness Book of Records previous # of 1400 or so. We need one more!
