I realize that there have been many quilts shown over the internet from Quilt Market/Festival. All of them are gorgeous and unbelievable in their own right. However, there was one special exhibit that really touched me.
This exhibit was of all cats and dogs and there were many quilts entered and hanging. These quilts were made especially to raise money for a Texas no kill animal shelter.
Because I have cats as my pets and have had a dog as a pet growing up, I see the need for the awareness for taking care of our furry friends, adopting them, and spaying or neutering them. They become parts of our family, make us laugh, and comfort us in their own way.
Here are two of my favorite quilts from a renowned quilter right here in my home state of Connecticut.
When you look at these quilts close up they are AMAZING... most all is done with thread, just unbelievable and so realistic.
I have many more photos of quilts from Market/Festival, but I really thought that this one was special and wanted to share with you all.
Until Next Time....

These are amazing! What a talented quilter! Thanks for sharing!
The artists captured their furry subjects absolutely purrfectly! At first I thought they were actual photos and not the quilts themselves.
amazing what you can do with a photograph printed on fabric and the use of thread!!
