Red Asterisk

Hello Everyone,

I bet you can't believe that I have NEVER been involved in a Bee! Yeah, me too! So when my friend Andrea invited me to join the Two's Company Bee, inspired by the Red And White Quilt Show that was in NYC in March, I jumped at the chance. After all who wouldn't want a red and white quilt?

So first up was Tara's block!

She sent everyone their own fat quarter of red fabric and we needed to add the white. My red piece was plaid. I really liked how it turned out too.

It was a paper pieced block and you all know how I love paper piecing. So this block was meant for me. She explains how to make this block on the Two's Company Blog. I hope Tara likes it too!

Two reminders...

Jackie,
Beautiful block. I am supposed to start a challenge quilt for R/W quilt but little behind on that. Can't wait to see more!

Oh I love the asteric - very nice. I had to laugh at the previous post about your cat. My cat love the bathroom sink and is a real pest in there until I turn the water on and she can play in it.

I'm not normally a white person but this block is cute. I like the plaid fabric. It really is cute though. I like how the seams look like lights radiating from the little asterisk.

I would like to get a group together in my area, hoping to do charity quilts and thought that would be fun and hopefully get people at different levels, to make it easier to finish them.

I couldn't post the other day when I saw this block. I had it on my computer to comment on but was just admiring the block for a while when I had issues with my computer. I wanted to tell you how much I love this block. It looks hard but I think I could do it. Someday I'd love to make a quilt with this block. I'm going to bookmark this post.

This is such a cute block! I've never been in a bee either, Jackie. It's on my list of things to do soon. =)
Have a wonderful 4th of July weekend!!
