Hello Everyone,
Finally, I can say that spring has arrived right here in my own yard!! Excitement fills me, because you know what that means... summer is around the corner, my favorite season.
I thought that I would take you for a little walk around the yard to show you all the wonderful delights.
Daffodils just began blooming. I love yellow!
Ginger surrounds the trunk of my flowering plum tree.
This is the first year I have ever seen my vinca blooming like this. Just glorious!
My flowering plum with the beautiful pink buds coming to life.
Ooops... who is that? My Pavi watching me taking photos. If you click on the photo, you can see Beanie in the background also looking at me.
One variety of Hellebores, a beautiful eggplant color.
My white Hellebores. Still some leaves around that need to be cleared, but we are working on that... soon.
Little purple flowers in my lawn. Very sweet, but I don't know what they are called. Do any of you? They seem to be growing wild.
My Star Magnolia, very fragrant. We have two!
Look... even my lilacs are budding!! I have three different varieties of lilacs and they all bloom at slightly different times.
Goodness... what on earth is this? Does anyone have a husband that is just a little over zealous when trimming and pruning? I do. This is supposed to be a Japanese Maple. It must have been severely damaged this winter, so he decided to cut it down to a nub. Wonder if it will come back?
Love these daffodils.
My beautiful azaleas are in full bloom. Gorgeous display of color. The only thing I forgot to take a photo of is my weeping cherry tree. But I can vouch that it is just gorgeous!
Thanks for coming along for the tour!

Wow! Your flowers and trees are just lovely!! I think your bloom is a little ahead of ours. Sadly, my Star Magnlia had a very wimpy bloom this year-- maybe due to the harsh winter? Or that its right next to the house on the east side? Who knows. And sadly, our red maple has been sick for several years now and only about 25% of the leaves are returning-- I think we're going to have to cut it like yours!! Enjoy the spring!
lovely garden photos. Thank you for identifying the hellebores - I saw them in Illinois on a recent trip and didn't know the name of them.
lol, my son over pruned some bushes last year, but luckily they have recovered.
The ginger is so pretty with it waxy leaves.
Happy Spring
Beautiful photos of your treasures. Welcome Spring!!
Happy Spring Jackie!
The purple flowers in your lawn are violets. You can tell by the leaf. Lovely floral photos.
OH, so beautiful! Here I sit, in Northern Utah waiting for it to snow today...the temp outside right now is 31 degrees Fahrenheit. *sigh* So thank you for sharing your beautiful photos. Hugs...
Thanks for the walk around Jackie, your garden is so beautiful! Lovely to see all the flowers starting to bloom, just as ours are all shedding their leaves and starting to get sleepy!!! xo
Beautiful flowers!! The purple flowers in your yard are violets and they will take over the lawn if you let them.....I know. I do love them though, just not in the middle of the grass.
I love violets, but they do take over. I had to get rid of a bunch of them the other day.
The tour was lovely...I'm in awe of the sunshine. We have been sorely lacking that in Iowa lately, although the sun is out today. =) I need me some vitamin D!
You really have a lot of eary color! I love seeing the Hellebores on blogs because I don't have any. I had never heard of them until about 5 years ago.
Thanks for the tour Jackie! You have a beautiful yard.
Thanks for the nice tour of your yard. I can't wait to get out there and plant some shrubs and flowering trees. Especially lilacs; I love the fragrance.
I like violets in the lawn. :)
Spring has definitely arrived at your house! Your yard is looking so beautiful with all the colors.

Gorgeous!
I love your flower beds Jackie. I have never tried to grow Hellebores. Is there a specific company you can purchase them from?
What a treat to see your spring garden!!! I feel like I can almost smell those glorious flowers!
Yay for spring! Looks like you're a teeny bit ahead of us. I'm crossing my fingers that my crabapple will bloom before I leave on Friday -- it's always so beautiful and I'll be sad if I miss it! Your pictures look wonderful!
Beautiful pictures. Whats growing in your grass looks like wild violets to me. We have them everywhere.
Jackie-purple violets will spread all over the yard-and go away when you mow. We also have white ones in the back
Cherie
The flowers are gorgeous and a welcome sight after the snowy winter. Thank you for sharing.
Have a super great sewing and stitching day.
Isn't Spring just wonderful with the rebirth of all our plants. Your flowers are beautiful. Your 'wild' flowers are violets. I had them in the back yard of my previous home and after a few years - before mowing season - my back yard was green with the color of the violets running thru and looked like a green and violet blanket.
I love your flowers.
Well I think the Japanese maple is a goner...he really did a number on it huh?
the rest of the yard is looking just gorgeous though!
Happy Spring and Happy Sewing
Absolutely lovely walk through your garden. I enjoyed each and every picture. :) Thank you for sharing with us. Everything is just gorgeous!
