Hello Everyone,
One week ago on Sunday, I had the pleasure of being at the first meeting of the Mod Conn Quilters!! It was a small gathering, but so much fun none the less. Meeting new quilters can be so inspiring and fun.
Some of us brought show and tell along with us and we all learned something from one another. Mainly, I was raring to go when I got home.
I would like to share the show and tell portion of our informal gathering. I am sure that you will see some quilts that you adore, as did I. So, go grab some tea and a cookie, sit back and relax and enjoy the show...
Me with an itchy nose and my Diamonds Down Under Quilt.
Now I know that your engines are all revved up now. You must get your sewing machines turned on and put the pedal to the medal. I am looking forward to meeting with these ladies once again!!
Before you head off to sew, don't forget to enter my fabric giveaway by clicking here, there is still time.
Until Next Time...

What a great gang to be around!!! Such talent. There are soooo many wonderful works of art here, so many quilts that amaze me but you know, my personal favorite has to be the charm in the third from the top which I'm calling "Not an Exit!" ;> *karendianne.
Great show and tell! thanks!
I'm excited to begin a "modern quilt" for my daughter who is going to college. What a fun group it looks like and always fun to see Karen's selvage quilts!
Have tea, need cookies! What a great show and tell. So much talent in one room definitely fuels the fire.
Very inspiring here today Jackie, isn't it wonderful seeing so many different quilts all in the one room? xo
thanks for the quilt show - what a great way to start the morning off.

Didn't we have fun? It will be interesting to see what develops in this "quilt tank." (You know, like think tank. Haha.)

Thanks for all the wonderful inspiration! Karen sure is prolific! I love her work and your Diamonds Down Under quilt.
I love show and tell, especially from such talent, what great quilts, thanks for sharing.
I'm going to go ahead and echo some of the other comments--I had no idea CT had a modern quilters group! Where are y'all meeting? I'd love to come and join in the fun!
Hi Jackie, thank you for sharing these awesome quilts from your group meeting! It's a treat to see all these colorful quilts together.
Catching up with you and reading your posts. The college thing looks fun. MIT wow. Pizza looks amazing. These quilts are lovely. What always hits me is how women all over the world create what is essentially the same or similar thing - quilts! They could all be women in my own group. I think that is fantastic.
GORGEOUS quilts, loved seeing them thanks!
Lucky you to be with all those quilters! But, if y'all get a modern guild up there, it's going to be difficult to convince you and Karen to come to the metro mod meetings in the city. Unlucky us.
