A Blast From The Past

Hello Everyone,

While I was in Arizona, I spent the last night enjoying a wonderful dinner with my cousins and my Aunt and Uncle.  While there, I noticed a quilt hung over the back of my cousin's rocking chair and asked my cousin who made here the wonderful table runner...

To my surprise, she said... "Well my beautiful cousin did..."  meaning me!  Well that floored me... I didn't remember making it...LOL!!

Here is my gorgeous cousin with the table runner I made.  And to prove it, I actually had put a label on it, can you believe it??

Yep!  I made it 10 years ago.  After she told me the story, I began remembering it...  Wow!  I can't believe I had forgotten.  Does this ever happen to you, doing something and then forgetting about it??

Here is how she displays it on her table.  She uses it everyday.  I am so pleased that I made something that she uses and loves.

Isn't that a great feeling that something that you made is loved and used??  How about you, have you ever made something, given it to someone you love and forgotten that you have done it??  Ugh...

Until Next Time...

Yes, I've made things for friends and family members, and then forgotten completely about it :) I see such a strong family resemblance with you and your cousin!

Yes, I can believe I would do this too- sometimes I have admired something and someone will say- don't you remember, you gave it to me LOL
It is a beautiful table runner and I can see why your cousin loves it..
You are one busy quilter with lots of projects on the go- lots of quilts have passed through your hands since that time.
Regards from Alberta,
Anna

It just happened the other day, I was at a friends house and she asked if I would hem her bedroom curtains as I did such a great job doing her kitchen ones several years ago. I still don't remember altering the kitchen ones.

Yes!! I joined a crochet swap on Ravelry. The theme was Vanna's Choice tweeds (they had just come out) and the inspiration was dreamy George Clooney. The afghan was gorgeous, soft, in grays and browns and I sent it to my nephew in PA. When I visited last winter, he was cuddled up on the couch under this really pretty 'than. His wife crochets, so I complimented her on it. The said don't you remember? You made it! LOL

That is so funny. You must have made a lot of quilts to forget about one!

I have forgotten several quilts. The early ones I did not take pictures of and of course they are not labeled. They were given to nieces and nephews.

Yes, I have experienced that, too! Over all, I guess I kind of like it. Especially if it is with someone who loves me and it is a loving rememberance!
