Hello Everyone,
It was opening day of the Things With Wings show and it was quite a thrill for me.
We have some spectacular quilts in the show, including the one above. This one just WOW"ed" me! I think I may have to replicate this one in black and white fabrics.
The WWII Quilts are hung right near the B-29. Impressive quilts and plane.
Lots of great light to show off the quilts and tons of room to move around and see the planes and quilts.
Local CBS Channel 3 News came and did a little segment on the 5:30 news! A thrill for me. The quilts, the planes, and even myself and Joyce were on for a mere 2 seconds. The whole spot was about 20 seconds long.
Also, look at the wonderful baskets that are being raffled off all week long!!
Come see more quilts like the one above and take your chance on a basket or two. There are baskets that are themed such as Gardening, Breakfast, Chocolate, and even one for some Machine Quilting!!!
Hope to see you all there!
Get information here on how to get to the museum.
Until Next Time...

Love that radiating star quilt. Reminds me of Sparkle Plenty. The red, white, blue and stars are perfect for your show.
What a wonderful show, Jackie, I wish I were closer. Any airplane quilts? Looking for inspiration for making one for adult son to celebrate his wings.
Such a great place to have a quilt show, everyone did such a great job.
such fun and such a unique place to have a quilt show - who would have thought!
The red, white, and blue quilt is fantastic! I'd love to have that in my family room. Can't wait to visit this weekend. Great job Jackie.
Wow -- it looks awesome Jackie. Your hard work is paying off!
How very exciting and downright COOL . . . and I love that star quilt, too!
Congratulations! The quilts look so great with those airplanes. I'm sure your show will bring lots of visitors to the museum, people who otherwise might not go--like me, if I lived a few thousand miles closer!
That is one fabulous star quilt! The show looks wonderful. I'm sure it'll be a great success!!
That first quilt is absolutely stunning!
Oh wow, that first quilt is ahhhhhhmazing!
Hi Jackie, I went to the show today, and I thought it was fabulous! It was a great venue because there was a lot of space and good light, and hey, something for the husbands to look at while the ladies check out the quilts! Great job, and Thank you!
Looks fantastic!!!! Wishing you all much luck for a very successful show!
Perfect quilt show - lots of lovely quilts and something for the menfolk to have a look at when they get bored after 5 minutes! Only wish I was closer, the trip from Australia just a bit too far! Hope its a big success!
What a great setting. Something for all the quilters, and their spouses too.
