Hello Everyone,
Yesterday was a fabulous yet exhausting day! We hung ALL the quilts for the "Things With Wings" quilt show at the New England Air Museum.
I had an absolutely fabulous group of volunteers. I cannot thank everyone enough for helping me make this show a possibility! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! That is my son helping too!
Evie and Justine checking in quilts and assigning them to their locations.
Making sure that the quilt is hanging well. Don't you just love the planes in the background?
Diane and Nora hanging some of the BIG quilts.
Dottie and her husband... absolutely delightful! And I must say that Dottie has done some absolutely fabulous things for the show! Wait until you see everything!
Sneak peek!
Another sneak peek... but there is TONS more!! So if you would like to see them, please come for a visit.
Serengeti Serenade made by me for my husband... Christmas 2011. |
From my Pilot Hubby and the Quilt maker wife, we cordially invite you to come and walk amongst our two passions... flying and quilting. You will not be disappointed.
The show runs from September 17 - 23. On the 22nd and 23rd we will have guest lecturer, Marie Bostwick and Sue Reich and also vendors. There will be basket raffles there all week.

Good luck with the show - we've had a show here in Pensacola at the Naval Air Station Museum and it's so much fun - along with all the planes. The pic of you and DH is so good.
Looks like you had fun -- good luck this week -- I hope it goes wonderfully!
hard work but it looks like you pulled it off. Now enjoy the show! I wish I lived near by so I could see it too.
I see the bag with my quilt Alter Ego!!! Can't wait to see more photos . . . (some of us live much too far away to visit in person).
LOVE the setting!
The quilts look wonderful! I too can't wait to see more photos -- wish I could see them in person, but it's a bit too far away for us.
Looks great! Karen and I are coming up on Friday afternoon. Hope to see you there!
If the show was closer to Arizona I would come. Your show looks like it is going to be great. Best of luck!
Have a great day.
