Yes, I have been a busy little quilter this year. And I can't believe that I was able to keep it all under wraps until now, given the way that I can talk!
Earlier this year, Pat Bravo (owner and designer extraordinaire of Art Gallery Fabrics) and I were e-mailing designs back and forth for her Bohemian Soul Collection. I had done a few as did she. We finally settled on her fabulous design!
She asked me to piece it and quilt it for Quilt Magazine! Yes, a third one in the current issue. Let me introduce you to Soul Flower...
A wonderful octagonal design using both color palettes from Bohemian Soul.
Also using three colors from her Lace Elements collection.
This one I decided to custom quilt even though some of the fabric is busy, the quilting really showed up well. I used Superior's Rainbow line of thread.
The backing and the binding.
The quilt is fabulous and really not that difficult to piece. Looks hard, but not too bad.
Here is the magazine spread and there is my pic again.
The current issue can be found in my shop by clicking here.
Again, I just love Quilt Magazine's photographers, they do such a fabulous job, don't they?
And of course, if you would like to make Soul Flower you can find the complete kit in my shop by clicking here. Or should you just want some of this fabulous fabric, click here for the complete collection!
Sad to say this is the final quilt of mine in this current issue. No more completed quilts to show for now, but I will definitely be updating you on my Glacier Star next post. I have been doing tons of flying geese!! I dream about them now.
Also, I will draw a new winner of the Judy Niemeyer pattern as well.
***Special note... I have a new blog post up on Quilt Magazine's site, it is about Quilt Market! I would love to hear your thoughts. Click here to read and leave me a comment! Thanks!***
Until Next Time...
