Hello Everyone,
We happen to live in a relatively rural area where the wildlife is plentiful. What you are about to see is a something that we see pretty often.
So can you see what my two kitties are looking at out our back window? Look closely, click on the photo to enlarge.
You can see Pavi (the one on the left) is definitely more intent on looking. While Rolo (on the right) has gotten a little bored.
Did you figure it out yet?
Wild turkeys, about 21 of them! They come through our yard about 3 times a week. This time of the year is pretty active for them. The babies have gotten big. They were quite small a few weeks ago.
You can see Pavi really doesn't know what to make of them all. If it isn't turkey it is about a dozen deer or possibly a bear.
Can you see the squirrel taking part in the photo shoot too? The turkey that is the closest, is a male. It is quite large and has prettier head feathers than the others. He is preening his feathers here.
You can see that Rolo is now totally disinterested. Ahhh, the life of a cat!
Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!
Until Next Time...

I would be like Pavi, totally glued to the window. We lived in the country years ago and still talk about all the wildlife experiences. But no turkeys. Thanks for the fun pictures.
How fun to get wildlife so close up. Must be like watching a nature program on TV for your kitties. On occasion I do see deer on the wooded walking path in my neighborhood. No bears than goodness.
Gosh Bears !! Really - Glad we do not have them in Australia.
Rolo looks very roly poly but adorable.
Hugs - Fee
Stunning impressions of what happens in your backyard!
Love how both cats react so differently.
That's the life! I wish I was one of your cats.
Isn't it fun to have wildlife right in your back yard? At our last house we had deer and turkey in our yard every day. I do miss that. Have a great day! :0)
Wow....that is quite a flock there! They had better watch out as Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. ;)
Wow the only wildlife we have in our yard are racoons and skunks LOL. and we don't see them. We know the racoons are around they do damage to the garbage, even know how to remove a bungy cord. Smart ones I guess LOL
Like TV for cats. I love how they have such a nice, comfortable window seat to keep tabs on the comings and goings in the backyard.
Better RUN...Thanksgiving is just around the corner...do you have a deep freeze? ha ha
Beautiful backyard!! Thanks for sharing! Take care!

Kitty TV! I love it. Our cats like to watch the bunnies and birds in the back yard.
What an amazing back yard you have! We mostly get squirrels and wood pigeons (and the occasional woodpecker). Ros
What a wonderful backyard Jackie! Wild turkeys, squirrels and bears. I would love to sit by your kitties and see all the interesting going-ons too!
Cute post. You have delightful four legged children, whom do a great job guarding their home. Clearly, from your post, it is an exhausting job! LOL!

Wow, look at those kitties check out the turkeys! Wonder what they're thinking. Pretty kitties, btw! I love seeing turkeys in the wild like this.
Great pics, Wow! Now that's some scenery out your window!
Love those pics! Your cats are beautiful and take such funny pics! They are funny when they start "talking" to what they are looking at!!
Must be thrilling to have turkeys! We get lots of birds but no wild turkeys up here. We do get lots of bears. Funny to hear an Australian say she is glad they don't have bears. They have an abundance of deadly snakes and insects.
LOL...reminds me of our 2 cats and our backyard! We have about 8 turkeys this year (not as many as last year) but our 2 kitties are totally disinterested. They could care less. Now, chipmunks...that's a different story :)
They were hoping for an open window! We have kangaroos, foxes, lizards & snakes...yours look more interesting!
My dogs stand & stare at the roos!
Your cats are sweet.
I Love that photo! Do your kitties paw at the window too? Whenever fly's are abuzz outside our back door my cat paws at the window like crazy trying to catch them!
I love the pics I have a cat that could be Rolo's twin brother. You can see him on my blog. fabricartist21.blogspot.com
Oh, my -- Lester would love to have all that to watch out the window! What great shots!
Hi Jackie. Love the kitty pictures. They certainly have a good view from your window seat. Rolo looks very relaxed in the last picture!
very interesting!
sometimes we are visited by some monkey families, here!
Wow! What a fabulous backyard Jackie! I'd be glued to the window all the time - how fun!
I'd be glued to the window, too if there was such a turkey fest out in the yard.
Beautiful fur babies!!
and bears???? Yikes.
Neat! Are they loud? I remember the first time I saw a wild turkey and I was baffled! It had never occurred to me they actually existed anywhere but a farm! :) We're pretty rural-ish here too, so I thought you were going to show us a rat. eeeewwwww
The turkeys are magical almost. We haven't had wild turkeys since our area became more built up (10 years maybe). The more fun thing is the pics of the cats. They look like just the best pets. Their puffy and adorable. Makes me want to lay down in the window seat and have a nap with them.
Pavi wants to get out there and chase them. Rolo is thinking it's time for another nap. So cute.
Love your post! The cats and turkeys--what fun--lucky you! Thanks for giving me a smile!
Oh, that's so fun to see the wildlife out your back door, love the kitties checking them out. We lived in Idaho for a year and the wild turkeys were plentiful. My little maltese was a puppy back then and he walked right up to the little chicks. We were worried the mom would chase him off, but she looked up for a moment and then just went back to eating.
My kitties would be going nuts if they saw those running through our yard, lol. We have a bush in front of the window, and the cats love sitting there and watching the birds.

I had to show your photos to my DH, an avid wild turkey hunter (in the spring). He just smiled and agreed your home has a lovely back yard --he's a man of few words and is champion of the understatement.
Looks like you have a beautiful home, inside & out.
Love seeing those wildlife pictures! It's one of the things I love about our places in Texas. You never know what you will see on a daily basis, but it's always interesting.
That is SO cool!! Look at all those turkeys!!
Hope they don't leave your yard a mess.
