Hello Everyone,
First I thought I would share with you some fabric from my stash that I will be using in a new project. This project is for a little swap that Stephanie and I planned for each other. I know how much she likes green and I thought that these were such sweet little prints. But this is just the start!!!
So what do you think of your first sneak peek, Stephanie??
Now for my next piece of randomness. I found this really neat sight for book lovers. If you are familiar with Netflix, then you might like this site. It is called Book Swim. It acts like a library, but the books get sent right to your home for a monthly fee. You can read as many books as you like.
You place the books in your queue and when they receive them back the next one in line gets sent to you.
Sounds like a great concept! Does anyone out there use this service? I would love to know your thoughts on this one. Do you like it? Any drawbacks? I am seriously considering signing up.
Next BIG issue: Has anyone had problems with blogger sending comments back into your e-mail box? All of a sudden, I stopped receiving comments and can't figure out why. Therefore, that explains why I haven't been answering any comments via e-mail. I have checked and rechecked my settings, nothing has changed. Any insight would be helpful.
Last but not least, feast your eyes on the fabric below....
You can now find these in my Clearance Section of my website for a low, low price of $4.35 per yard!! Just click here to start shopping. Oh, and don't forget the Blowout Sale that is currently going on there too... Details here.
***Edit... fixed the blogger problem!! I opened a gmail account for the comments to come to(was using my normal e-mail for years for blogger) and now it works. Go figure!***
Until Next Time...

Oh boy I'm really excited about the sneak peek. LOVE the fabrics. :o) Never heard of Book Swim. I'll be interested in hearing/reading any reviews.
Lots of pretty new fabrics at Canton Village.
First, I love that green mushroom print!! LOVE IT!!!
Second, I've never heard of Book Swim but it sounds really cool. I'll have to check it out.
Sorry I wasn't much help! :)
I got a 6-month subscription to BookSwim as a gift. It's convenient and easy to use; the selection is pretty good. I liked it as a way to preview "how-to" books before I bought them; also good for one-and-done books. I chose not to renew because I really don't like to read used books (a quirk of mine!) and I didn't enjoy trying to keep the books pristine for someone else.
Those fabrics you've chosen for your swap are fabulous!!
I hope this comment gets through and that Blogger has resolved whatever the issues are.
Hi Jackie...in your blogger dashboard under settings/comments there is a place you enter your email to have comments sent to? Maybe if yours is there already you could add a second email address to test? Good luck!
I have some of the delicious fabric so I'll be waiting to see what you're planning. I heard of the blog issue, sometimes if you wait, it'll get fixed.
Oh those fabrics you chose fit Stephanie to a T! She will LOVE them.
Had never heard of that book site. Must tell my daughter about that one.
I use a site for audiotapes which works likes Netflix called Simply Audiobooks. Love it. My hubby and I listen to them while we do our work. I order some for myself which I listen to while I sew. I do prefer the audiobook service of my regional library because it's free and I can put it on my iPod. I don't have to change CDs that way.
Love those fabrics for STephanie...and have never heard about the book service...what a novel (lol) idea!
I'm glad you figured out the email problem...I just learned how to do that...I now am able to answer people's comments...they probably thought I was rude not answering before.
I belong to Paperback Swap; for the last 4 years I have been swapping books back and forth. I get them free and pay for sending them Media Mail to the requesters from my "bookshelf."
I'll have to study this new site and see how it compares. The thing I like about mine is that I'm not obligated to keep swapping - I can keep the book if I want. I've gotten a lot of good quilting books that way.
If you want to take a look: www.paperbackswap.com
I too belong to paperbackswap...

For each book I mail out I get to order another book. You only pay for media mail when you ship... They also have a wish list...
Great fabrics! Lucky Stephanie.
I'll check out Book Swim too.
Wow -- that Book Swim sounds really interesting -- I've never heard of it. I'm afraid I'd get stuck on a book and not "read" my money's worth LOL. Glad you figured out your blogger problems -- Blogger Drives. Me. Crazy!
I use the county library system kind of like my own personal Book Swim, except I have to drop off and pick up (but it's right on my way to/from work). I request books that I want and they email me when they are available and hold them. It's very easy to run in and pick them up on the hold shelf. I can have as many as I want out at one time, I just can't control when they are available. Fortunately, I'm pretty patient. I rarely buy books any more.
Regarding gmail and blogger. I have all my comments sent to my comcast account and wasn't ever aware of a problem. Lately, a few people have mentioned not being able to leave comments. Is that the same problem you are talking about? I guess that wouldn't solve my problem, since I don't know what my email would have to do with the ability to leave a comment. As far as I know, I do seem to get email notification when a comment is left.
Great sale fabrics! I've been using Goodreads to keep track of my reading list, and I really love it. But I like this idea, similar to Netflix. Love the preview of your new project - cool colors to play with!
Book swim sounds like a great idea and I would sign up if I wasn't addicted to reading books on my iPad! Love the fabric colors and I am looking forward to seeing the finished quilt!
Jennifer :)
Oh stephanie, you are a lucky Lady. Jackie I use a Kindle so I am not much help about your book site. sounds interesting.
I use Audible for audio books- fantastic while quilting:)
As an affirmed addict, I get my fix as often as i can, in any form - on my iPad (Amazon, iBooks, the magical free Gutenberg project) , as well as Amazon for much cheaper books secondhand (in Australia, the cost of books is astonishing - $25-30 for a new novel??)
We have a wonderful telus system, so I can order books from any library in the state and you can order out of state for a small fee.
I have had that happen to me on a few blogger sites. I leave a message and then get mail saying it was undeliverable, so no idea why.
Debbie
I huge fan of BookSwim! I just don't have time to go to the library and, to me, this is the next best thing. I love that I can put the newest releases in my "pool" and read them before they are available in paperback - because, as much as I love books, I just can't afford hardbacks or all the trade paperbacks I want. Plus, it's great fun to come home and find a big box of books on my doorstep. They have great customer service the few times I've had to contact them - very quick, personal responses. If you love to read, I don't think you'll be disappointed!
Stephanie is in for a treat... those fabrics are beautiful! I haven't heard of book swim before. Sounds interesting! Happy summer reading :)
Love your blog! I would love to win a GO as I have had serious medical problems with both my shoulders (rotator cuff-R and broken -L). Hard for me to cut out quilts as I have no strength. Sounds like just what I need, but can't afford to buy one with all the medical bills. I'll keep my fingers crossed that I win! I don't have a blog.
Patsy
Jackie, I would love a "GO" to have perfect cut piecing would be heavenly.
Hello Jackie, I left a message on Facebook for you too about the "GO"
