Hello Everyone,
You know those projects that you had started and then put away, for whatever reason, and you just hadn't gotten back to them. Well this post is about one of those such projects. Once I got it out and started working on it, it left me scratching my head wondering why I had put it away in the first place.
I have been having so much fun with it and it started like this.....
A little more paper piecing, I love it!

For those of you who are wondering the information on this quilt. It is called the Fourth of July and is a pattern by Judy Niemeyer, one of my favorites. I just took another class from her about 2 weeks ago and am in the process of piecing one of her newest patterns. Loving that one too.

I love the colors you are doing your 4th of July in. Isn't it a fun quilt to make? I did a girl get away when I made mine, and spent a week paper piecing and I loved it.

That is just stunning. I love the fabrics, the colors, the pattern....... I don't see many quilts that hit all three for me. I have done some NY beauties and that paper piecing takes patience. Fantastic job! You are so prolific!!!!! I wanna be YOU! I am still plugging away on my pops. Ten small 4 by 4 inch blocks to pick out and sew. Six additional to complete the sewing of. I think hexies might be next in Fassett and other Westminster in some mosaic pattern. I love seeing the hexie blog alongs. Take care and stay dry!

OOH! I new I'd like it as soon as I saw the paper arc. Then the spikes! And the whole thing is amazing! I love Judy's pattens but have never met her. I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your 4th of July is spectacular...I LOVE the fabrics you chose! I've got the 4th of July pattern on my list of quilts to make (hope mine turns out as well as yours has) and I agree with you...Judy Niemeyer's patterns are wonderful!
