It Is A Potpourri

Hello Everyone,

After I finished the Glacier Star quilt middle, it came off of my design wall temporarily until I have the four outer borders complete.  In the meantime, I put some projects that need to be worked on up for inspiration and completion.

I think they look all kind of nice up there, don't they?

On this side you have my LeMoyne Stars, H Units for my Glacier Star borders, and my Improvi-Robin middle from Stephanie at Venus de Hilo.

In the middle, I have my airplane block for my "Things With Wings" Challenge, and my flying geese for my Two's Company quilt.

Lastly, this little beauty I had made a while ago needs to be finished pronto.  I am thinking of extending some of the half-square triangles into the border and then doing a little modern quilting on it.  It just needs to be a little bit bigger.  Any thoughts on what you feel could make it sparkle?

Oh, check this out... it was a little article about me in our local newspaper.  Just click here.

Until Next Time...

Very amazing PiPs! I also find that I'm more inspired to work on a PiP if I put it up on the wall. You're going to have some terrific finishes.

Wow what a nice collection of projects.......
I know it's modern quilt using HST what about an old fashioned finish with a bright sawtoothed border?
Or a modern take on it?

Happy sewing

What wonderfully happy and bright projects on your design wall!! What about adding a wee bit of black to your HST quilt to make the colours pop?

That's some fun stuff on your design wall! LOVE them! I think the one on the right sparkles pretty well right now as it is! I know you will come up with something cool for it! The article in the paper was pretty neat. I will be putting your Two's Company blocks in the mail tomorrow. I'll post them as soon as I get a chance. Too busy!

My thought was the same as Cathi's--a bit of black would really make those HST colors shine even more.

Thanks for sharing.

Lots of fun starts! I like your idea of taking the diamonds out into the border on the last one. Congrats on making the local news. Everyone should know that there's a great talent in their midst.

Is there a pattern for the HST quilt or is it your own creation? It would be a great quilt for all my batik scraps.
