Certifiable! ... and winners...

Hello Everyone,

I know that you have seen all the following quilts on my blog at one point or another, but do you know what they all have in common?

A Touch Of Spring

Summer Solstice

A Garden For My Wedding Ring

Fourth of July

Seasonal Table Runner

Golden Harvest

And Total Eclipse.

Do you know yet?  Well, they are all paper pieced, and Judy Niemeyer patterns, I made them all.  But the most important and exciting thing to me besides the fact that I so enjoyed making them... They were my portfolio which helped me to become accepted into Judy Niemeyer's National Teacher Certification program!!

I am besides myself with excitement.  I love her methods and her patterns that is why I stock many in my shop (click here to see)! I will be heading back to Montana in July of 2012 to get more training in teaching her techniques with 9 other new teachers.  I will be a part of a very small grouping of teachers that are Certified to teach her methods and classes within their regions.

I already have some lectures/trunk shows and workshops scheduled with guilds and shops into 2013!  If you are or know of anyone who is interested in having me come to do any of the above, leave a comment or send me an e-mail!  I would love to come!  I believe I will be covering some of these areas, CT, RI, MA, NY, Northern NJ, and Eastern PA.

SIDE NOTE:  Don't forget to return here for the Blogger's BOM, but it will be delayed until the 27th due to the holiday.

Our two winners from the Art Gallery Fabric Giveaway were:

and
Sunnybec of Living the Dream

Congratulations!!

Until Next Time...

My guess was that they all have circular motifs. However, I can see that those would be much easier to paperpiece.

Congratulations on the certification, I sure appreciate all the work necessary to achieve that goal. I hope you enjoy teaching this method and have great success with it. One thing for sure No one does color as wonderfully as you!

Thee patterns are so amazing, Judy Niemeyer has created a whole new world of quilt making.

Happy sewing and Merry Christmas

Congratulations, Jackie!! I've always been drawn to her patterns and am even more drawn to them after seeing your gorgeous quilts in one post!
Which of her patterns would you say is best suited to a beginner with the patterns, and one who is NOT all that comfortable with the sewing machine?

I've made one Judy Niemeyer quilt so far, and sent my daughter the link to your website and told her the pattern I'd like her to get me for Christmas--hope it worked! The patterns are so easy once you figure out Judy's method.

Congrats, again, Jackie on being accepted to Judy Niemeyer's certification training. I'm really looking forward to your class in January. And its nice to see your rendition of Total Eclipse-- I have to start thinking about fabrics, etc. Not sure if I want to go with batiks or Westminster/modern brights.
