Hold on To Your Hats!

Hi Everyone,

I'm back from Vacationing in AZ! We had wonderful weather, in the mid 80's and sunny everyday. I'll tell you, you just can't beat it! Long walks and sunshine daily does a body good!

Anyway, now hold on to your hats... As promised I finished my Cherrywood Quilt and gave it to the recipient over vacation, my father!! It was a 75th birthday present for him and he loved it. I had to finish binding over vacation, but it was completed only a few days in.

Here is a picture of the birthday boy with his quilt!

There are more pictures posted here if you are interested in seeing close ups! I quilted it with Cherrywoods new dyed to match variegated thread from YLI. It quilted like a dream.

Of course, while in AZ I visited some of my favorite quilt shops and assisted in keeping the economy going. I will post some pictures of my takes. Also, found some great shoes too! So stayed tuned for more later this week.

Happy Quilting!!

Jackie

That's a great quilt for a man! Happy Birthday to Dad. And he has the same tv unit that we have -- only we don't have the black wood option!

Oh Jackie! . . . it's so rich & elegant & beautiful! I'm sure your Dad will cherish it forever.
I'm so glad that you had a great time (& great weather!) while you were in Arizona. Today we are hitting 95 degrees. . . & I"m sure that Phoenix is a little warmer (hotter?) than that!
