I Just Have to Show You This

Hello Everyone,

As many of you know, I am a long arm quilter. Also, many of you know that I not really a blue (fabric color) person. But when my friend Deb brought this quilt to me to quilt, I just fell in love. So I had to show you the quilt and the quilting I did on it. Don't forget to click on the photos for a close up and personal look.

Isn't it gorgeous! And to think she is giving this as a wedding gift?! I would be so happy to receive something like this.

As you can see I chose a variety of feathers to quilt this top. I am just a fan of feathers. Actually I think they are meant for this quilt.

I had actually called her during the process of quilting and told her that this would look great hanging behind her bed. I also suggested she start looking for another wedding gift. LOL!

When she saw it she loved it too and thought about keeping it, but she really wanted to give it as a gift. They are one lucky couple! Deb did such a wonderful job piecing this.

Now I couldn't leave you without some pictures of our new little kitty, Pavi. There have been some requests to show more. So here is the sweet little boy.

Just relaxing on the window seat.

What a great finish... his cute little paw.

In other news, this week I updated my Etsy shop with some die cut Dresdens. I also updated my website gallery with some more quilty inspiration. So go check it out. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Until Next Time.....

As you know Jackie I am a hand quilter and not all machine quilting appeals to me - but I tell you some day I just might have to have you quilt one of mine! I love what you did with this quilt. (I don't like the swirly's all over a quilt but more a design that goes with the quilt pattern like what you did with this one :) ) Love it!

Oh my that is gorgeous quilting- totally perfect choice of yours. :-) Love it.

Some sewing friends and I are gathering for a friend's 50th in October. Her hubby jokingly asked when he could book a male stripper for us. I then said, no book a long arm quilter and all of us would have a better time. Everyone laughed.

I would so love to be able to use one of those. Beautiful work and Pavi is cute and contented.

That must be one of Deb M.'s quilts - her favorite colors. You did a spectacular job as usual. I have another one ready for you to quilt!! My friend Marianne gave me a top she did in the 80s & it would look great in my guest room once you've worked your magic on it! See you soon.

I'm shaking my head in awe. Your work is pure perfection. The quilting is such a strong point and fabulous even stitching. Having put in about 4 hours on a new wall hanging in the past couple weeks. A bit here and there because of my kidney stone, I just don't know how you do it. Of course I'm quilting on my bernina. But still. The kitty is so darling.
