Hello Everyone,
Last weekend, my friends Pam, Justine and I went on a wonderful quilting retreat in Chester, VT. This was our second year at this retreat and we had such a fantastic time. Lots of fun with old friends and new. Plenty of inspiration to be had. I wanted to share just a few pictures with you. Hopefully, by my next post I will have a slideshow of the retreat containing TONS of inspiration for you.
For now, Justine, Pam and I welcome you to our retreat...
Country Treasures is a phenomenal quilt shop in Chester, VT. The shop owner Sue, is full of energy and ideas. We just love her and ALL her staff. They certainly make you feel like you are part of the family.
The next photo is of one of the projects I was working on. I can't show the other as it is part of the Christmas in July Swap. Sorry, no sneak peeks!
Pam is hard at work or is she hardly working??? LOL. She certainly is happy anyway.
Justine working on her "Design Floor". She did lots of that! Justine was definitely the overachiever for the weekend.
More of Justine's projects on the "Design Floor". I have a feeling many of us have a design floor.
Now onto the cocktail hour which we coupled with a show and tell. Each year, Country Treasures asks us all to bring show and tell. Well, guess what I brought... my 4th of July quilt! I just had to....
And of course, my picnic quilt. That is the lovely Mary Jane helping me hold my quilts. She works at Country Treasures and is such a hoot! We love you!
Justine showing her recycled jeans quilt. Yay, Justine GO GREEN!
Pam showing her beautiful diaper bag. She did an impeccable job making this.
Justine showing her market bag and the fabric garlic bulb her sister had made for her years ago. A perfect embellishment for this bag.
Justine's completed quilt top from the retreat! Such a show off, but we love her!! You know it too!!
So there is your little peek into our retreat weekend. Check back on the next post for a slideshow.
If you would like some more inspiration, 4 new quilts were posted here in my gallery. Hopefully, by my next post, I will also have my June newsletter and Podcast out too. So if you haven't signed up for the newsletter, just go over to my left sidebar and click on the newspaper.
Until Next Time....

I was there! My sister and I stopped in Chester on our trip to Vermont, our Grandmother's birthplace. Country Treasures is a wonderful quilt shop. Looks like you all had a great time and your pics are inspirational.
Oh what fun! I'm in serious need of a retreat. Haven't been on one in about 8 years. I think I'm overdue! Lots of great projects and I'll bet you had them drooling over your 4th of July quilt.
Oh what fun, fun, fun,!!!!
Looks like lots of fun! I've never been on a quilting retreat. Must remedy that!
What a great retreat! So much fun and so much done...
Sure looks like you had a wonderful time. Beautiful show and tell too.

Inspiring Show and tell. I love your 4th of July Quilt! Wow!
This looks like so much fun! How wonderful to have such good friends that share your love of quilting, and such a great place to celebrate in!
Sounds like so much fun...quilt retreats are the best!!!
What a fabulous retreat...can't wait to see more pics of creations made.
What a wonderful and productive retreat. It is always so great to share ideas and inspiration.
Terrific photos of the projects and the retreat. Especially loved your 4th July quilt, beautiful colours. Well done.
Oh, I like that diaper bag. I am going to attempt one for Future Niece. Well, for Future Niece's mama, really. This one looks really nice- it's big and roomy and you could use it after the baby outgrows a diaper bag. Was this a pattern or did she make it up?
I love all of the quilts that were made. Especially the bright ones!
:0)
What a great retreat! never done it, but I think it would be fantastic!
So much fun! I need to get myself in a guild and make some local quilting friends . . . thanks for sharing all your fun pics :)

What a wonderful retreat. It looks like you all got so much done. I love get aways with girlfriends too.
That looks like such a fun retreat Jackie. Nothing better than a weekend full of quilters.
What fun! Nothing like a retreat for inspiration and friendship. All the "show'n'tell" items were wonderful. Your Judy Niemeyer 4th of July quilt is stunning, and I see you now have it for your picture.. very cool. But I have to say I love the ME picnic quilt the very best. :-)
And oh yes.. you are right about the design floor. :-D
I really like that B&W one with the colored appliqué flowers!
Will watch for the slide show. I wish we could have a national retreat with all our blog friends. Impossible I know. But dreamable. Fun to go quilt with friends. One of my very favorite things to do. Love the things you gals did.
