Kitty Cat Christmas Antics

Hello Everyone,

I know many of you are cat lovers and I wanted to share some of the antics of my kitties on Christmas morning!

We have a tradition of just throwing the wrappings on the floor because the kitties just love to romp around in them. Here you can see Rolo looking for Pavi inside the pile of wrappings.

The cats seem to love going under the tree. Must be a comforting place.

Pavi inside the piles.

Beanie just sitting pretty!

Pavi pretty contented under the tree!

I would love to hear some of your funny Christmas kitty antics!

Make sure you come back on Thursday for something special.

Until Next Time...

What sweet kitties. I've always heard that the wrapping paper and boxes are more fun than the presents.

This reminds me of some past Christmas experiences, only it was my boys when they were little. You spend all that money on toys and I would find them in the wrapping paper and boxes. The cat we used to have loved playing with the bulbs on the Christmas tree which led to several broken bulbs thus the reason I had non breakable bulbs for several years. Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Cute kitty pictures! I don't have kitties but when my old dog was a puppy, she chased that train that we placed around the base of the tree. Had to sniff all the presents too!

I posted on my kitties yesterday. (Ditto the box & being found by the shorty. Only this time the box was on its side & the shorty wanted it upright. Only he wasn't strong enough to make that happen - so he pouted until I asked him if he needed help. The stubborn cat stayed put through it all...)

My story is when I looked up at my Christmas tree and see Teazer about 3/4 the way to the top and the tree starting to fall towards me. I didn't lose any glass ornaments and learned my lesson to anchor my tree to the wall. My cats love going under the tree to drink the water. I used to think the tree was absorbing the water. NOT

Cats do love paper and hiding under the tree. Boo Boo has a plastic fetish and chews on it. They both like hiding under the tree.

I love the kitty antics! Pavi looks so adorable in that pile of papers. Our cats don't like the crunching sound of paper or plastic bags, so they weren't as interested during the tearing open. Love love love that picture of Beanie sitting pretty! She couldn't have posed better.

no cats here. I have two little ones, and teh youngest of the two got the bag of goldfish crackers out of her stocking and was so happy, she walked around with it proudly until she decided they were better to eat and then she sat on the floor trying to get the bag open. she gave it to my hubby who put some in the new bowl (plastic with a lid, came in a set of 4 or so) she got for Christmas, and she was happy as a clam. Her sisiter on the other hand had a BLAST opening presents.

I had a cat who loved to climb into the tree and sleep in it. I miss her....

No kitties at our home, even though my daughter always wanted one. I'll show her your sweet pictures!

Nothing like wrapping paper to make a kittie's day.
Great shots, would be fun to make them into cards for next year.

My cat tested his limits with our new tree this year and kept trying to chew on it. Then he decided once we put all the gifts under the tree and put bows on them all that surely the bows were meant as toys for him. He stole the bows off of every single present overnight. LOL Goofy cat. And he opened one present too. :( Bad kitty.

Cats are so entertaining, what a shame I'm allergic to them.

Love your kitty pictures. What is it about Christmas trees that makes the cats want to sit under them? It's the first thing our cats do as soon as we put up the tree. It's also the only thing they do, they are very good about not touching anything on the tree even tho there are some very interesting dangly things that would be very good for swiping at.

We do exactly the same thing! I think they like the tissue paper the best because it makes the most noise! Then they start playing with the bows...and days later I am still finding them in other rooms! Great pics.

Jackie, your kitties are wonderful and it reminds me of the fun times I had growing up with them. I am not able to be around them much now because of allergies but enjoy them when I can. Happy New Year to you! Steph

Your orange and white kitty looks very much like my Oscar, aka "fat cat"!! :) Ahhh...cats. This year I found one of my kitties loves to play with a curled up pipe cleaner (like if you wound it around a pencil). They'd like to crawl inside every box, lay on paper/fabric/plastic bags I lay out, and every project I'm working on they seem to want to stake claim as theirs!! There is an awesome "how to wrap your cat" video out there in youtube land that I highly recommend watching!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jm3dm5J5r0A
Happy New Year and many more fun cat adventures!
